Biography

Dr. Joseph F. Kulas is a board certified clinical neuropsychologist who has expertise in both adult and pediatric populations.  He further has expertise in conducting forensic evaluations, inlcuding independent medical evaluation and record reviews for disability assessment, workers' compensation, and civil litigation.  He also has significant expertise in the evaluation of fitness for duty, evaluation of police officers, threat assessment and management, and pre-employment psychological evaluations.

Dr. Kulas completed his doctoral education at Purdue University and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation.  He obtained his board certification in clinical neuropsychology in 2010 and a subspecialization in pediatric neuropsychology in 2015 from the American Board of Professional Psychology.  He currently is employed at VA Connecticut Healthcare System as a Program Manger, serving as the Chair of the Employee Threat Assessment Team, Director of the Police Evaluation Service, and as the Co-Director of the Clinical Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship.  He has an academic affiliation with Yale School of Medicne at the rank of Associate Professor.
